SecurityGen, a startup that develops cybersecurity technology specifically for telecom operators, has launched Artificial Cybersecurity Expert (ACE), a breach and attack simulation (BAS) product, delivered from the cloud in software-as-a-service (SaaS) mode.
Traditional BAS is focused on enterprise networks,
all running TCP/IP over Ethernet.
The signaling and control networks used by mobile network operators
(MNOs), on the other hand, use different protocols altogether,
which requires a different tech platform to carry out attack
simulations for the purpose of
identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and so on.
There
is clearly a need for such technology, particularly in the
5G era, where networks are sliced, introducing multiple new players,
each with their own traffic stream and thus each with the potential of
introducing risk.
Our comprehensive telecom security services portfolio—covers every aspect of the telecom ecosystem, including the RAN, core, and interconnections with proactive security assessment, security consulting, incident investigation, and a 5G focused services Program.
